Preserve the religion
This verse is a part of verse 15 of Manusmriti chapter 8, the complete part of which is as follows –
That is, religion hurts those who destroy religion, that is, it destroys and protects the protected religion, so religion should always be protected by human beings so that no harm to human civilization is ever done.
Is it possible
You must have thought while reading this, is it possible that if we protect religion, then religion will protect us? If it is possible then how is it possible? To understand all these things, it becomes very important for us to first understand what religion is.
what is religion?
In the Vedic Sanatan system the word ‘religion’ is based on the word ‘rit’. In the Rit Vedic period, it is called a well-balanced natural system and principle, that is, an element that binds the whole universe to religion or keeps them connected.
In Vedic culture, Rit means the basic basis of existence. Rit means the deepest law of existence. Rit means the law of harmony of the universe; The rule that moves the stars; The rule by which the seasons come and go, the sun rises and sets, the night comes behind the day. And death is behind birth The mind creates the world and no-mind lets you know what it is! Rit means the law of the universe, the place of existence.
It is said that ‘Rit is one of the most important religious principles of the Rig Veda’ and ‘The beginning of Hinduism is associated with the beginning of this principle’.
It is less mentioned in modern Hindu society than before but it has a deep connection with the principles of religion and karma. That is, in simple words, do not go to very deep interpretations, if the Brahmins, Kshatriyas, Vaishyas, and Shudras are divided on the basis of karma in the Vedas, if you do the right deeds through the said medium, then your deeds, become religion. Will go and you will be called religious.
This is religion for humans.

What is eternal?
According to wherever you have read till now, the meaning of Sanatan is – eternal or everlasting, which means neither beginning nor end.
This is the biggest mistake of all of us, which today, knowing even the biggest religion, says with great pride that – Sanatan Dharma can never be destroyed, it will continue from time to time while the status of Vedic Sanatan Dharma is in front of you today. Or simply say that you can hardly see Vedic Sanatan culture today. On the other hand, if it were so, why was there a need to say: protect religion in Manusmriti?
Religion protect: Why was there a need to say?
In 1999, when the Pope said in India that he would fully establish Christianity in the whole of Asia by the 21st century, the media brothers of the whole world presented it as a simple incident and it was tried to show that it is the duty of the Church. To propagate Christianity all over the world and in doing so, they are discharging their duties.
When it comes to converting Hindus to mass Islam by an extremist like Zakir Naik and converting them to Islam, the media displays such news as a common phenomenon or gives a message that such incidents are common. Ultimately Islam should spread until all humanity becomes Muslim.
But when a Hindu community replaces people of other religions beyond Hinduism again in Hinduism, then this media of the country gets agitated and it swings on making it communal and divisive forces which destroys our diverse structure. She wants to create an intolerant Hindu nation by engaging.
According to Wikipedia – “It is not a Hindu religion but it is a community or community only”. The meaning of the community is “a group of followers of a tradition”.
What is Sanatana Dharma according to Atharvaveda?
According to the following Ritha of Atharvaveda –
That is, he (one who meditates above the truth, illuminates the world with knowledge through the light, that is, God himself), says Sanatan, he is still as new as day and night, despite being constantly new Is eternal.

Why Hinduism, Sanatan Dharma?
Hinduism is therefore called Sanatana Dharma because it is the only religion that shows the proper way to know God, soul and salvation with essence and meditation. The path of salvation is the product of this religion. Salvation leads to self knowledge and knowledge of God. Salvation can be attained through the practice of Yama-Niyam, including solitude, meditation and silence and penance.
Here Sanatan means today and not from tomorrow, Sanatan here means like day and night, it is everlasting, in spite of new creation. Similarly, every person born in the Vedic religion system, completing the cycle of birth and death, will remain connected to the religion till the salvation, that is, until this creation goes on, which has no beginning and end.
This is the ultimate truth of Sanatan Dharma in which we pray to God that –
That is, O God! Take me from untruth to truth through my actions. Take me from darkness to light. Take me from death to immortality.
In Vedic Sanatan Dharma we believe that
That is, truth is made up of two metals, satt and tat. Sat means ‘this’ and Tat means ‘that’. Both are true. Ego Brahmasmi and Tattvamsi. That is, I am the Brahman and you are the Brahman. This entire world is cosmic. Brahma is complete. This world is also complete. The complete world has its origin from the complete Brahman. There is no inferiority in the perfection of Brahm even when the whole world is created from the complete Brahman. He remains complete even in the remaining form. This is the eternal truth.
The specialty of Sanatan Dharma is that it speaks of the highness of thoughts. There is only and only Sanatan Dharma in the world in which there is no religious fanaticism, atheism is also recognized. Another place where almost all religions talk about conversion of the rest is the principle of Sanatana Dharma: “Krmarmanto Vishvamaryam” (Rigveda 9/63/4) means to make all the people of the world with superior qualities, deeds and dispositions.
In none of the later texts from the Vedas did it be written to make everyone Sanatan righteous or Hindu. Hindu prayers and vision wish for the welfare, coordination and peace of not only human beings, but all of creation itself. That is why the Hindu did not even give himself a Hindu name. In the words of Veer Savarkar, “You are Muslim therefore I am Hindu. Otherwise I am a world man. “
