Decoding 5G: Things About Technology 2020- Astrological Predictions

The arrival of 4G networks in India opened many doors for start-ups in the country. The year 2017 proved to be a dramatic one in technology, especially smartphones. Various Indian companies started providing internet at pocket-friendly prices;

This opened the gate for users who topped the list of smartphone users in the world. The move also opened doors for various startups across the country to build a larger and better platform. As a result of this, India is at the top of the highest startup countries worldwide. Now, it is time for the arrival of 5G technology in India.

What is 5G?

What is 5G?
It is a next generation cellular technology that will provide faster and more reliable communication with ultra low latency. A government panel report states that with 5G, peak network data speeds are expected to be in the range of 2–20 gigabits per second (Gbps). This is in contrast to the average 4G link speed of 6-7 megabits per second (Mbps) in India compared to 25 Mbps in advanced countries.

Who Does it benefit?

With 5G technology, consumers will be able to download data-heavy content such as 8K movies and games with better graphics in just 8 seconds. But once 5G becomes commercial, users will need to change their current devices in favor of 5G-enabled ones.

However, it is likely that the primary use of the technology will go beyond the delivery of services on personal mobile devices.

5G is expected to become the backbone of emerging technologies such as Internet of Things (IoT) and machine-to-machine communication, supporting a large range of applications and services, including driverless vehicles, tele-surgery and real-time data analytics.

The ultra low latency offered by 5G makes the technology desirable for such use cases. Latency is the time it takes for data to travel between its source and destination.

A government panel on 5G says the technology will expand the use of wireless technologies for the first time – from industrial to commercial, educational, healthcare, agricultural, financial and social sectors – to completely new sectors of the economy.

The report also states that even after 5G’s entry into the Indian network, the previous generation of mobile technologies (2G, 3G and 4G) will remain in use and may take 10 or more years to phase out.

It is widely accepted that the 5G value for India may be higher than in advanced countries due to the low level of investment in physical infrastructure. “5G can offer ‘leapfrog’ opportunities by providing ‘smart infrastructure’ providing low infrastructure and faster infrastructure delivery,” according to the government panel.

One of the primary applications of 5G will be the implementation of sensor-embedded networks that will allow real-time information delivery in areas such as manufacturing, consumer durables and agriculture. 5G can help make transportation infrastructure smarter and more efficient. 5G will enable vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure communication, making driverless cars, among other things, a reality.

Advent of the 5G technology to increase the scope of business

To develop a higher bandwidth and better speed than 4G, the country will use new radio technology and different network architecture. This will result in the advent of 5G technology in India. The network speed will be 100 times faster than 4G technology.

Such speed in technology will increase the scope of business related activities. Also inspired to take the country to new heights.

This advent of 5G technology will prove to be very important on the part of India. A large part of the younger generation is dependent on the Internet. Thus, the development of better and faster technology will ensure that stronger and better technology is provided to give the countrymen a platform to start their own startups.

Providing of 5G technology to be a major task.

Comprehensive fiberization is a major challenge that technology providers will have to face when deploying new technology. About 80% of the fiberization is required to provide new technology in all corners of the country. Currently, telecom companies have deployed less than half of the target.

Thus, it is estimated to take some time to bring technology into the picture. Upgrading the antenna in major parts of the country which will provide 5G technology is also an important task. It needs to be completed in the least time frame.

There is also a need to pay attention to the fact of loss to telecom companies. Companies are facing crises as they are providing internet at low prices due to competition in the market. To overcome this hurdle will be a difficult task for companies. Therefore, even this factor may delay the proceedings that the arrival of 5G technology in the country.

The advent of the 5G technology in India.

The country is on the list of the highest consumers of the Internet, it becomes an important task on the part of the government and telecom companies to implement the technology at the earliest. Technology will bring another new wave to the Indian market and will surely prove to be decisive in taking India to the next step in the field of startup and technology.
