There are two Chaturthi in each month. In this way there are 24 Chaturthi and 26 Chaturthi after every three years. The glory and importance of all Chaturthi is different. Let’s know the secret of Chaturthi.



 

1. The deity of Chaturthi (Chauth) is Shivaputra Ganesha. Worshiping Lord Ganesha on this date eliminates all obstacles. This is an open date. The date is called ‘vacancy noun’. Therefore, auspicious work is prohibited in it.

2. If Chaturthi occurs on Thursday then death occurs and Saturday’s Chaturthi is Siddhida and the blame of Chaturthi’s ’emptiness’ almost ends in that particular situation. The direction of Chaturthi Tithi is South.

3. Each Chandramas has two Chaturthi. Chaturthi of Shukla Paksha after Amavasya is called Vinayaka Chaturthi and Chaturthi which falls in Krishna Paksha after Purnima is called Sankashti Chaturthi.

4. Vinayaka Chaturthi: Lord Vinayaka i.e. Ganesha was born on Vinayaka Chaturthi. Although it comes every month, but the Chaturthi of Bhadra month is very important because Ganesha was born in this month. Vinayaka Chaturthi is also known as ‘Varad Vinayak Chaturthi’ and ‘Ganesh Chaturthi’ in many places.

5. Sankashti Chaturthi: Chaturthi which falls on the Krishna Paksha of Magh month is called Sankashti Chaturthi, Maghi Chaturthi or Til Chauth. It is considered the biggest Chaturthi in the order of twelve months. Worshiping Lord Ganesha on this day is excellent in terms of happiness and good fortune. Observing Chaturthi fast gives relief from distress and financial gain.
