Guruwar Vrat Katha

According to the Hindu calendar, there are 7 days in a week and each day has its own significance. According to Hinduism, each day has been fixed for the worship of different deities. Similarly, the day of Thursday has been fixed for the worship of Lord Vishnu.

Apart from this, the fasting for Brihaspatudeva on this day also makes him happy and gives the desired blessing. If the guru is in a weak position in the horoscope of a person, then he should start fast from Thursday containing the Anuradha nakshatra and keep a fast for 7 Thursdays. This fast gives wealth and wealth, and those who are childless also get children.


 

It was a long time ago that a businessman lived in a city. The businessman was very gentle but his wife was very stingy.

While earning a business as well as doing charity work in addition to earning a businessman, his wife used to disrespect the sadhus who came to the door the next day. Once what happened that Brihaspatiu himself reached the merchant’s door in the disguise of the monk.

Now there was no businessman at home, so she started disrespecting the monk and started saying that he is having a lot of trouble with this wealth, tell me any such solution that will destroy it. Then Brihaspatudeva, who appeared in the form of a monk, also tried to convince him that he should invest the money in righteous works but he did not listen to one.

Then Brihaspati Dev said if you really want this, then on seven consecutive Thursdays (Bhraspativar Vrat Katha), wash your house with cow dung, wash your hair with yellow soil on Thursday, wash clothes on the same day, Asked her husband to shave on Thursday, and also asked to eat meat and alcohol in food.

On saying this, Brihaspatudeva disappeared from there. But the businessman’s wife did not take his words lightly and started doing as she said, till the third Thursday (Thursday), there was a Bengali in her house and she too died.

The merchant also had a daughter. Now he had come on the road with his daughter, he took refuge in another village to live.


 

He would cut wood from the forest and sell them as if he started cutting for days. Unable to fulfill her daughter’s petty desires, she would suffer immensely. One day, seeing his life in the forest, he started mourning that in this condition, Brihaspatiu appeared before him in a sadhu form and advised him to worship Jupiter and recite the story, With the blessings of Brihaspati Dev, the wood of the merchant also sold at a good price that day.

Now he worshiped Brihaspati Dev according to the sadhu and kept fast and also heard the story. His days started turning again but one Thursday before the completion of the seven fasts, he forgot to do story and fast.

On the same day, the king invited everyone to the banquet. But here too, he arrived late and the king made him a meal with his family. See the illusion of Brihaspati Dev that the necklace of the queen is stolen and accusations are made on the father and daughter, both are put in jail.

If the businessman again remembers Brihaspati, then he says that nothing is disturbed even now, even while staying here, you can keep a fast for Guruwar, listen to the story and share the offerings of jaggery and gram.

Now the businessman gets 2 paise at the prison door there, he asks a woman to bring jaggery gram but she says that her son is married, so he is in a little hurry, there comes a woman whose son dies She goes and is bringing shroud for him.

He says the same thing to him that to tell the story of Jupiter, give him jaggery and gram. She gives it to him and hears her own story. Now the woman whose son was married falls down from the mare and dies, and the woman who went to take the shroud for her son comes alive as soon as he puts prasadam and charanamrit in his mouth.

The other woman also mournfully approaches the merchant and apologizes for her mistake and Hearing the story of Jupiter, he takes Prasad and Charanamrit and puts it in his son’s mouth, from which he becomes alive again. On the same night, Brihaspati Dev comes to the king in a dream and tells that his necklace is not lost but he hangs on the peg there. He has put the innocent father and daughter in jail.

The very next day the king frees them and by giving a lot of money to the businessman, he also gets his daughter married in a well-to-do family.
