Pitrupaksh ke Dauran Kya Na Kare Aur Kya Kare???- Janiye Jyotishi se!

In the Indian tradition and Hinduism, worship of ancestors and pindadan has a special significance of their own during Pitrupaksha. This year, the 16-day Mahalaya Shraddha Paksha is starting from 2 September 2020 and will end on 17 September 2020.

At this time, the Sun of the planets will transit in Virgo. During this time, the moon comes very close to the earth and Pitralok is considered on top of the moon.

It is said that during the Shraddhapaksha, our ancestors come to their families on the earth riding on the sun sign and return to their ancestral shukla Pratipada. During Pitrupaksha, ancestors are pleased by offering food to Pinddan, Tarpan and Brahmin and bless their sons and grandchildren.

Start Of PitruPaksha (Pitrupaksha Ki Shuruaat)

According to Hindu mythology,  the tradition of performing Shraddha (donation) during Pitru Paksha is attributed to Karna. Karna was a charitable king and Karna donated gold and other precious things throughout his life to help the needy and the Dalits.

When he died, his soul went to heaven, where he was given gold and jewelry to eat. Unhappy, he went to Indra to find out the reason for the same. Indra tells him that despite donating many things, especially gold, during his life, he never fed nor served his ancestors, which is why he is getting this punishment.

Karna argued that since he did not know about his ancestors, he never donated anything. So Indra allowed Karna to return to Earth to perform Shraddha and to get rid of Pitridosh.

If this is done under the guidance of an expert Vedic astrologer, the Shraddha ritual and worship method will be more effective. You can consult experienced astrologers to perform Shraddha rituals according to the horoscope.
