Anarsay

It is a sweet dish made of rice which is a traditional dessert of Maharashtra. But currently it is becoming popular in almost every part of the country. It can also be made with mawa-rice by mixing it with mawa.

Halva

Halwa is also one of the traditional dishes that is usually made on every festival as well as other Manglik festivals. Even in the presence of a guest in the house, it has been offered as a sweet dish especially in the rural areas. Presently halwa is made in many varieties. Apart from semolina, in winter, carrot, gram flour pudding is made. So the moong dal pudding is evergreen. There is a trend to make moongdal pudding exclusively in urban and rural areas on the occasion of Diwali .

Dessert

This sweet dish made from milk and rice is very special. Deepawali is on Amavasya day and selling milk to Amavasya in rural areas is not considered auspicious, so it is a tradition to use milk since ancient times. That is why kheer is made from milk on this day. Mixing saffron, cashews, raisins, almonds, cardamom, etc. in kheer increases its flavor even more. However, at present, Kheer is also becoming popular as a common sweet dish, originating from the festival. But it has special significance on the occasion of festival. Halwa, kheer and puri are such dishes that are offered to the deities as well.

Saffron Shri Khand

It is also made on the occasion of Diwali in many areas. It is a special sweet dish made from a mixture of curd, sugar, saffron, which is also very easy to make.

Whole Vegetable

Whole vegetable is also a special dish made on festivals. Now-a-days new things are being used to make puris as well, so both vegetables and dry vegetables can be made in the vegetable for the puri. You can make sour and sweet vegetables of pumpkin, chickpeas, dumalu, potato cumin etc. according to your choice.
