According to Hindu calendar, every month there is a fast, festival. If the gods are worshiped according to the days, then according to the dates, fasts are kept. While Lord Vishnu is worshiped on Ekadashi, Lord Shiva Shankar is worshiped on Trayodashi Tithi, also known as Pradosh Vrat. A long time ago, there lived a very prosperous Seth in a city. There was no shortage of wealth in his house. From business to practice, Seth’s conduct was genuine. He was very kind-hearted. Used to take part in religious activities. Seth had also got the same godly wife, who used to support Seth in virtuous actions at every step. But it is said that God tests his devotees.
There was a sadness in his house that was not diagnosed even after several years of married life. The couple was sad that they did not have any children even after many years of marriage. The couple, suffering from this sorrow, decided to go on a pilgrimage. Both of them had come out of the village limits to see a monk lying in a tomb under a very ancient ancient banyan on the way.

Now both of them woke up to seek the blessing of the monk and sat down with folded hands in front of the monk. Now slowly As time went on, the whole day and whole night passed through the head, but both of them remained seated with folded hands.

On returning from the pilgrimage, the Seth couple started observing Shani Pradosh Vrat according to the ritual of the monk, which led to Sethani’s lap becoming green in due course of time and on time, Sethani gave birth to a beautiful child. Shani Pradosh fast and method of worship
The fast of Trayodashi is called Pradosha fast. This fast is worshiped during the Pradosh period, that is why it is called Pradosh Vrat. Pradosh Kaal is the time after sunset and before night. Lord Bholenath is worshiped in this fast.
The Vrati should worship Lord Shiva with bilvapatra, Ganga water, Akshat, Dhoop, Deep etc. after bathing in the morning on Trayodashi. Fasting should be kept waterless. After sunset, Lord Shiva Shankar should be worshiped again in the evening.
It is believed that by this fast, the childless child also gets the happiness of children by the grace of Lord Bholenath. Lord Shiva should also be worshiped.
